News to Share: Piada Italian Street Food in Houston

We are very excited to announce that we are working on a new concept for the Houston market- Piada Italian Street Food. Piada was born from the belief that everyone is entitled to experience fresh, authentic Italian food, in a warm and inviting atmosphere. A fast casual, authentic Italian eatery serving hand rolled Piadas (a wrap using thin crust dough), Pasta Bowls, & Chopped Salads.

According to Brad Ervin, who is the Director of Construction and Development, Piada began as an idea scribbled on a napkin during a visit to Rimini, Italy. “Our chef found distinct charm in the family-operated food carts and corner markets scattered throughout the streets of the city, where the aroma of fresh basil, handcrafted cured meats and homemade cheeses filled the air. Our chef opened Piada based on the principles of passion and pride for quality ingredients and simplistic cooking techniques.”

Paging through interior design magazines and dreaming up all the changes you would love to make in your home is, in a word, fun. Turning your home design dreams into a reality is still an enjoyable process, but also a challenging one, especially when money and final choices come into play.

The following five tips ensure you hire an interior designer who’s interested in your vision, your budget concern and your happiness with the final product.

1. Determine your expectations of an interior designer.

There’s no right way to collaborate with an interior designer. In fact, the expectations of your partnership with an interior designer set the parameters of your home design project. Thing about the following questions:
  • Do you want to be involved with every little design decision, or are you more interested in adding input on big picture issues?
  • Do you prefer an interior designer to show you every option available or do you expect them to offer you a narrowed-down selection?
  • Are you looking for total guidance, or do you have an eye for interior design and just need help with planning and resources?

By answering these questions regarding your expectations, you create a solid foundation for a successful working relationship with your interior designer.

Feb 17, 2015 6:00:00 AM

If there’s one trend happening in today’s interior design industry, it’s a movement towards individualization.

As you pre-plan for your upcoming home remodel, you should be working towards interior design that echoes your personality and lifestyle. You want the rooms in your home to feel as though they were collected through the years, which is achieved by mixing new and old elements.
